This community clock tower in Garden Grove's oldest park, Village Green Park, was a 1999 project of the Garden Grove Community Foundation. The design was created by the Clock and Brick Committee with lead project architect Miles Folsum. The tower and light standards were constructed by Green Giant Construction Company, and the clock components and mechanism are from Electric Time Company of Medford, Maine. The clock tower's strawberry motif is a tribute to the City's annual Strawberry Festival. The Tower on the Green was dedicated on April 18, 2002, and was renovated in 2014.
