Marsh Scott's 72.5-foot sculpture along the downtown sidewalk faces west to reflect and refract the changing colors of the surrounding canyon scenery. It was sponsored by Broadway Street Improvement Project and is part of theLaguna Beach Public Art Collection. Artist's statement: “The piece starts on the left-hand side with the grasses - fluorescent green after the rains in the early spring - and then goes into golds and yellows.”"The changing colors of Laguna Canyon, as it winds its way to the ocean and the undulating hills, are rhythmically interpreted in this sculpture which graces an entrance to the city." - Marsh Scott
