Lloyd Hamrol

DESCRIPTION:   4-foot by 73-foot by 93-foot sculptural installation of five semi-circular sloping stone masonry walls

Lloyd Hamrol's curved walls appear as partially submerged archaeological features.  It is the City of Carlsbad's first public art piece.  On the other side of the park to the west is Wilsterman and Uchida's 10,000 Year Trail installation, completed the following year, of a creek bed with rocks embossed with symbols and images for 'water.'
