Artist's statement:  "As a co-designer and lead artist with the landscape architect and encouraged by the legacy of Heritage Park, the concept was to create a sanctuary in the midst of a predominantly industrialized area.  The project takes an imaginative approach towards the integration of cultural and environmental history, resulting in a fanciful play on the natural history of Santa Fe Springs. The design for the park includes, site-specific artworks, specially designed water fountains, seating and lighting elements. Artists Joe Sam and Michael Amescu also contributed to the project."  - Michael Davis
