DESCRIPTION: 15½-foot high by 60-foot wide acrylic community mural, in progress
This Altadena Community Mural, titled "New Horizons," is filled with images designed to reflect "community, strength, and renewal" from an evolving design process that progressed organically in the aftermath of the Eaton fire that destroyed more than 9,000 homes in the Altadena/Pasadena area. The project was created by The Goodness Tour's Los Angeles Fire Relief program, with lead artist and co-founder Benjamin Swatez, co-founder Jeremiah A. Verdecias, and community volunteers. Samara Arkel, owner of 409 Woodbury - The Creative Space, provided the site for the mural effort. The Goodness Tour is an international non-profit that brings music, art and film to people in adversity around the world. The Goodness Tour plans another community mural for the fire-ravaged Pacific Palisades area.
LOCATION: east side of building, 415 E. Woodbury Road, Altadena, California, USA
