DESCRIPTION: station art installation of an array of 56 2-foot by 2-foot "tilography" portraits, consisting of 6-inch glazed ceramic tiles, accompanied by "Power Statements"
Stephen Farley developed an outreach program with the City of Pomona to produced stylized portraits of Pomona residents using his tilography process. Farley then paired these portraits with the portrait subjects' "Power Statements" expressing how specific people made a positive difference in their lives. Fifty-six are installed as station artworks for the POMONA NORTH STATION (Gold Line / A Line). More about the "Power Statements" program here: Pomona People Power.
