DESCRIPTION: This large, multiple-component installation commemorating the history of the fishing industry in the San Pedro and Los Angeles harbor area contains the following public art features by various artists:

8-foot high by 69-inch by 83-inch cast bronze "fisherman" sculpture, mounted on an 60-inch high by 80-inch by 94-inch base (by sculptors Henry Alvarez and Clete Maffet Shields, and artist Robert Piña)
four-panel etched polished granite mural (ocean scene), mounted on the sides of the base supporting the cast bronze sculpture (by artist Nan Butler-Beckstrom)
two 78-inch high by 33-inch by 20-inch cast concrete sculptures of dock moorings with rope
cast bronze bas relief portrait of the memorial's sculptors Henry Alvarez and Clete Maffet (by sculptors Henry Alvarez and Clete Maffet Shields)
12-inch high by 56-foot long tile mural of notable boats of the area since 1883, mounted on an 80-inch high by 56-foot long free-standing wall (by artist Petra Lopez Lefeber)
