DESCRIPTION:   station art installation consisting of six 14-foot high by 14-foot diameter shade sculptures with painted stainless steel stencil-cut canopy panels incorporating 4-inch diameter colored blown glass insets

This sculptural installation for the Metro Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station displays images of Rosa Parks and symbols from the Civil Rights Movement in the stencil-cut canopies overhead.  Installed in the plaza area north of the Rosa Parks Customer Center, they are accompanied by three  3-foot by 7-foot formed concrete sculptural benches with colored ceramic insets (Metro artist for sculptural benches is unlisted/unknown).
