DESCRIPTION: 137-inch high by 40-inch diameter polychrome painted steel and neon sculpture, representing the theme of "equality"
Froschauer's steel and neon lighting sculpture represents the theme of equality and is the first of six sculptures for the Pillars of Palm Springs installation. Froschauer's design approach was informed by the original Rainbow Flag, designed by Gilbert Baker to embrace the idea of inclusivity. The solar-powered sculpture is crowned with the word "equality" in multi-colored neon, serving as a colorful statement to city hall and airport visitors during daylight hours and after dark.
