Froschauer's steel and neon lighting sculpture represents the theme of equality and is the first of six sculptures for the Pillars of Palm Springs installation. Froschauer's design approach was informed by the original Rainbow Flag, designed by Gilbert Baker to embrace the idea of inclusivity. The solar-powered sculpture is crowned with the word "equality" in multi-colored neon, serving as a colorful statement to city hall and airport visitors during daylight hours and after dark.

Equality is part of the six-sculpture installation of Pillars of Palm Springs, which follows a 3/4-mile stretch of Tahquitz Canyon Way from Palm Springs City Hall to Sunrise Way. It is the largest and most comprehensive public art project initiated by the Palm Springs Public Art Commission. It was dedicated on World Art Day, April 15, 2024.
