"The Girl in Red Shoes" (2009) by Munehiro Komeno

DESCRIPTION: 44-inch high by 20-inch wide by 14-inch deep cast bronze sculpture of a girl holding a rose, mounted on a 28-inch high by 44-inch diameter cylindrical red granite plinth


This sculpture was a 2009 gift from Japan, dedicated on June 2, 2009. It stands partnered with the Japanese Friendship Bell that was presented to San Diego in 1958 and established the San Diego - Yokohama Sister City Society.
