Jeanne d'Arc Statue (1895, 1964)

Adolphe Roberton

DESCRIPTION:  10-foot high by 4-foot by 2-foot bronze sculpture, mounted on a 5-foot granite pedestal

This statue is one of several copies of Adolphe Roberton's 1895 piece.  Other copies reside mostly in France.  It was first installed in 1964 on the south lawn of the French Hospital at 531 W. College Street.  When the building was under renovation by a subsequent owner, the statue was donated and moved to an outdoor garden area of the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in September 2019.  (Source:  C.C. de Vere, Frenchtown Confidential, Sept. 7, 2019)
