DESCRIPTION: 6-foot high by 8.5-foot diameter, 3-tier, cast concrete, stainless steel, porcelain tile and glass sculptural bench
Tsanetopoulos' sculptural seating is surrounded by a semi-circle of benches and is the public art focal point of a small plaza on the south side of the Metrolink tracks, across from the station's main hub on Front Street. The piece is banded by a film strip design, and includes compass point letters (N, S, E, W) and a concrete and glass globe. Artist's Statement: [Pivot is] "A tile monument and bench feature [that] visually illustrates aspects of directionality and time relative to its conspicuous transportation context. - Paul Tsanetopoulos
