The City of Anaheim refers to this historic 1978 public artwork as an early Chicano mural, with plans for its restoration. Vasquez's mural presents a collage of scenes, images, and portraits, including the banner "Tierra y Libertad" ("Land and Liberty"). Museo lists other existing and missing murals by Emigdio Vasquez, Sr. (-2014), whose son Emigdio "Higgy" Vasquez, Jr. continues his father's mural tradition and is engaged with mural restoration efforts.
