DESCRIPTION: four 165-inch high by 110-inch wide digitally-imprinted murals on 12-inch square ceramic tile, mounted onto the north and south-facing rail overpass walls
Batcheller's four-mural installation on the north- and south-facing rail overpass walls each display a different title and theme from San Dimas' cultural and economic history:
Native Americans of the Kizh People
Early San Dimas (depicting historic landmarks such as the Walker House)
San Dimas citrus industry (and Santa Fe Railroad)
Present-day downtown San Dimas
Additionally, citrus-themed patterns designed by alignment artist Christie Beniston are incorporated into bridges, barrier walls, and various structural features throughout the entire four-station Glendora to Pomona North Gold Line (A Line) project. Here, the bridge façades flanking each mural have citrus-themed cast concrete panels as well as red brick sections.
