"Peace and Love" (2019) by Ringo Starr

DESCRIPTION: 800-pound, 8-foot high by 3-foot by 3.5-foot polished stainless steel sculpture, depicting a hand in a "peace sign" gesture

Ringo Starr (Sir Richard Starkey), donated this sculpture to the City of Beverly Hills, where he lives. The "Peace and Love" sculpture reflects the popular hand gesture he adopted in 1969, and this version was specially created for the City with assistance from sculptor Jeremy Morrelli. The donation was enthusiastically accepted by the Beverly Hills City Council.
Sir Richard Starkey and Lady Starkey unveiled the sculpture at its dedication on November 2, 2019.
