DESCRIPTION: station art: several wall-mounted and free-standing digital-printed image mosaic murals on architectural glass and glass tile
Haendel's murals cover continuous wall space throughout two levels of escalators, the mezzanine level, and street level, giving the impression that the murals complete the station's entire wall space, including the station's free-standing transparent exterior walls at street level. Across the murals are images of hands holding objects. Artist's statement: “As an artist, my goal is to challenge viewers to move slowly and with greater awareness through the world of images and signs in order to reveal how these images make meaning and shape our experience.”- MetroArt
