DESCRIPTION: 140-inch high by 72-inch wide by 38½-inch long life-size cast bronze statue of tandem surfing stars Barrie and Steve Boehne performing on a skateboard, mounted on a tapered 4-foot high concrete plinth This "tandem" statue of Barrie and Steve Boehne was unveiled October 25, 2023 and is the fifth statue by Bill Limebrook installed at Watermen's Plaza since the Plaza was created in 2018 with the Hobie Alter Memorial "Hobie Riding the Wave of Success" by Lance Jost and Bill Limebrook. Limebrook depicts the famous acrobatic couple applying their signature tandem surfing pose to their subsequent innovative skateboard designs and development - the couple founded Infinity Surfboard Company in 1971.
