Tony Gleaton was a photographer well-known for his photography of African American rodeo riders and Native American ranch hands in the American West and across Latin America. He died in 2015.
For this Station Art work, Gleaton created large engaging portraits of the area's residents, suspended within the platform stairwell, to create a striking visual effect for both transit riders and the adjacent freeway traffic.
