DESCRIPTION: 8-foot high by 16-foot wide ceramic, glass and stone mosaic
This Sheets Studio mosaic depicts western images to complement the nearby Knotts Berry Farm that was established in the 1920s, and it notably includes an image of the Knotts Berry Farm "Ghost Town." The mosaic is also a rare example of a Sheets Studio work signed/initialed by both Denis O'Connor and Susan Lautmann Hertel.
Title unknown: This mosaic work was part of Millard Sheets' long series of commissioned mosaics for Home Savings building façades in Southern California, and there appears to be no data on its intended title. Although many Sheets bank building mosaics were given names/titles that may have been known when they were unveiled, specific titles were not always recorded.
