 DESCRIPTION:   approx. 30-foot diameter sculptural and hardscape installation consisting of 
  • 15-foot high "derrick" sculpture faced with ceramic tile mosaic, mounted on a two-level base serving as bench seating
  • 30-foot diameter tinted concrete and stone pavement with insets of diatom images


This sculpture is site #4 of Bartels' eight-site Brea Blackstone public art project along the Santa Fe Road bike and pedestrian path.
