DESCRIPTION: pair of approx. 1-foot to 20-foot high by 330-foot long acrylic paint murals
Ghymel's pair of heritage murals face each other across Garey Avenue north of the rail overpass and adjacent to the Pomona Transit Center. Beginning with an image of the goddess Pomona on the city seal and ending with images of horse and car races, the west mural reflects the city's earliest settlers, music and the arts, and the east mural reflects early native American culture, ranching, railroad expansion, automobile racing, and the Pomona Fairplex.
