The Dinosaurs of Santa Monica (1989) by Claude Lalanne and François-Xavier Lalanne

DESCRIPTION:  six stainless steel and copper topiary fountains ranging up to 15 feet high and 20 feet long, with evening lighting

These six sculptural topiary dinosaurs by the French artist couple (known as Les Lalanne) are transformed into fountains as they "spew" streams of water from their mouths.  These sculptures represent the unique combining of Claude Lalanne's interest in animal themes and Francois-Xavier Lalanne's interest in vegetation.
