"The Hats" (2018) by Michael Davis and Eugene Daub,

DESCRIPTION:  3-piece installation of steel, fiberglass and ceramic tile sculptures
  • Lincoln Top Hat:  6.5-foot by 7-foot diameter weathered steel sculpture with a vertical facsimile of Lincoln's signature and the opening sentence of the Gettysburg Address etched into the brim,  which also serves as bench seating
  • Straw Hat:  46-inch by 9-foot diameter reinforced fiberglass sculpture encircled with a 12-inch wide hand-painted ceramic tile mural by Elyse Pignolet and Sandow Birk depicting scenes of Burbank's agricultural past, including melon crops; the sculpture's brim also serves as bench seating
  • Amelia Earhart's Aviator Cap:  6.5-foot by 4.5-foot diameter steel sculpture with a metal cut-out of her Electra 10E airplane and aviation symbols
