DESCRIPTION:  group of three 5½ -foot high cast bronze dancers, installed on a sloped 20-foot by 20-foot platform

Hula Kahiko, unique to the Hawaiian Islands, is an ancient sub-style of Hula dance, accompanied not by musical instruments or ukulele but by traditional chanting and percussion instruments.  The sculpture illustrates the standing (or luna dance) position and complex hand motions paired to the chanting and percussion.
