Trace tres Fukuhara

DESCRIPTION:   8-foot high by 1-foot diameter concrete and mosaic ceramic tile column sculpture

Fukuhara's work on the 7th Street sidewalk serves as a pillar of colorful ceramic mosaic next to the Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum as well as Gumbiner Park on Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue.  The artist included the following dedication:  "Peace Flora is dedicated to the children."   The mosaic installation was funded in part by the Public Corporation for the Arts, East Village Arts District Association, the City of Long Beach, and the California National Guard. 
Harold Pastorius' Eggs (1969) sculpture is at the south end of Gumbiner Park.
