"Giant Binoculars" (1991) by Claes Oldenburg, Coosje van Bruggen

DESCRIPTION:  45-foot by 44-foot by 18-foot concrete and cement plaster sculpture incorporated into the façade of the Frank Gehry-designed Chiat/Day office buildingincorporating both vehicle and pedestrian building entrances in its design.

This building-mounted sculpture is a distinct artistic feature and should not be confused with the Gehry-designed building itself, sometimes mistakenly referred to as the Binoculars building.
