Wicker Parlor (1999)

DESCRIPTION:  19-foot by 14-foot sculptural installation of a 6-piece ensemble of painted steel wicker-style parlor furniture and ceramic tile floor mosaics, installed on an oval 14-foot by 19-foot brick-faced site:
  • wicker table with ceramic fruit bowl with orange
  • two wicker chairs 
  • wicker chaise lounge 
  • two ceramic tile "floor rugs" (51-inch by 89-inch; 24.5-inch by 61-inch)


Davis' ensemple evokes the modest lifestyles of the area's early residents with typical wicker furniture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries - complete with a bowl of fruit.
