"Rebuilding of the Palomares Adobe" (1941) by Frank Stauffacher

PUBLIC ART DATA FOR LOS ANGELES, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND HAWAII

[The alternative title for this mural is "The Construction of Adobe de Palomares."]
NOTE:  The mid-19th century attire, native Americans, and building materials and equipment shown in this mural
strongly indicate a representation of the original adobe structure's construction in 1850-1855, instead of its restoration
and rebuilding in 1939.  The alternative title of this mural, "The Construction of Adobe de Palomares," is therefore
more likely the original title, despite the attribution on the bronze plaque below the mural.
