"Wall of (Un)Fame" (1995) by Erika Rothenberg

DESCRIPTION:  Station art consisting of
  • foot, hand and signature-imprinted terra cotta-colored concrete tiles mounted on seating, walls, and station surfaces
  • ceramic tile designs for walls and stairwells
COMMENT:  More than 650 local residents from the cities of Downey, Bellflower and Paramount contributed their imprints.  Chosen by lottery, the imprinted tiles were intended to create the area's own version of the celebrity imprints at Mann's Chinese Theater.
