DESCRIPTION: photo-mural canopy structure with mosaic pavement medallions
This canopy and pavement medallion installation anchors the mid-section of the 3-block long Promenade, from Ocean Boulevard to Third Street.
The north terminus of The Promenade at Third Street is anchored by the historic 1938 Recreations of Long Beach mosaic mural. At 38 feet high, it was originally installed at the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium, and in 1982 it was restored and re-installed as The Promenade's proud focal point at Harvey Milk Promenade Park.
