Our Mighty Contribution (2001-2002)

DESCRIPTION:   10-foot high by 780-foot long, 7,000 square foot acrylic mural painted on a street-facing retaining wall 

This notable mural, nearly 800 feet long on the north side of Crenshaw Boulevard, was painted by 12 different artists from RTN  Crew (Rocking The Nation) and depicts Black historical and cultural themes, images, persons, and events.  It is the Creshaw Wall's current public artwork in its decades-long history of serving as a canvas for community murals since the 1960s.  The mural is slated for renewal in 2024 by RTN Crew under the project name The Struggle Continues.
