DESCRIPTION:  5-foot by 5-foot by 3-foot cast bronze sculpture

This bronze sculpture of a man embracing a young child and dog was a gift to the City of Thousand Oaks from the friends and family of Dr. Robert E. Kind, deceased in 1998, in tribute to his long veterinary career.  The sculpture was presented to the City on May 21, 2000 and contains a bronze memorial plaque with this excerpt:"For more than 40 years, Dr Kind dedicated his life to the care and love of his patients, including the zoo animals which once resided in Jungleland on this very site."
