DESCRIPTION: architectural/public art design for the City of Ventura's California Street Bridge Project:
Michael Davis' 2019 redesign of Ventura's California Street Bridge pedestrian environment provides artistic lighting, railing and pathway elements that provide a sense of enclosure and protection for pedestrians. The design also enhances the attraction of the bridge as a "transition/destination link and path between downtown and the ocean" and "as a unique vantage point as the crossroads of California Street and the 101 Freeway" (Michael Davis).
